Gordon Ramsay has only been offered a 12-month contract at his restaurant Claridge’s.

The blow comes in a long list of setbacks for the famous chef. Reservations at the Mayfair hotel restaurant are down by 6.3 per cent. His restauran group sales are also down 9.5 per cent but that is distored by the closure of the Devonshire gastro-pub and the Boxwood Cafe. Furthermore his TV contract at Channel 4 has also only been extended by 12 months.
