The Buckingham Palace is all ready for one of its very important events!
Over 10,000 of gems go on display at Buckingham Palace to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 60th year on the throne.
The exhibition contains gems worn by Queen Elizabeth II and other jewels from the royal collection. Some of the most notable items include Queen Victoria’s 1897 Diamond Jubilee small diamond crown with 1,187 diamonds, the Delhi Durbar Tiara which was made to mark the succession of King George V as King Emperor in 1911, the diamond-set Coronation Fan made for Queen Alexandra for the coronation of Edward VII and Jaipur Sword & Scabbard presented to King Edward VII by Maharajah of Jaipur in 1902.
The exhibition titled “Diamomds: A Jubilee Celebration” is held from June 30 till July 8 and July 31 to October 7.
