Vanity Fair have named Duchess Catherine as one of the world’s best dressed women.
The young royal, who wed Prince William in a televised ceremony at London’s
Westminster Abbey in April, joined the likes of Princess Charlene of Monaco, Carey
Mulligan, Tilda Swinton in Vanity Fair magazine’s annual International Best Dressed List.
This is Catherine’s second appearance on the prestigious list, with her first mention in
2008 and has recently won praise again for her practice of recycling outfits, most notably
the green Diane Von Furstenberg dress she wore on both a trip to California and again to
William’s cousin Zara’s pre-wedding cocktail party.
Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, wife of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, scooped the top prize, with
Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser of Qatar in second place and Catherine in third.
For the first time, Michelle and Barack Obama made their first appearance together on the
Best Dressed Couples list. Michelle has been named amongst the best dressed ladies for
the past four years, however the US president last appeared on the list back in 2009.
Other mentions in the Best Dressed Men category were Colin Firth, Justin Timberlake and
Formula 1 champion Jensen Button.
