Harrison Ford labelled his former co-star Shia LaBeouf a ‘f**king idiot’ for criticising
the 2008 movie ‘Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull’.

The 68-year-old actor played the veteran archeologist in the fourth instalment of
the Indiana Jones franchise. Shia took on the role of his son, but later said that
he ‘dropped the ball’ on the movie because it is his duty to ‘support’ a film.

Harrison disagreed with his younger co-star and told Details magazine: ‘I think I told
him he was a f**king idiot. As an actor, I think it’s my obligation to support the film
without making a complete ass of myself.

‘Shia is ambitious, attentive and talented – and he’s learning how to deal with a
situation which is very unique and difficult.’

Shia portrayed Mutt Williams in Steven Spielberg’s action flick, which took $786.6
million at the box office worldwide. Shia said last year said it was his ‘fault’ the film
received criticism and added that Harrison was also not ‘happy’ with the final cut.

He said: ‘I feel like I dropped the ball on the legacy that people loved and cherished.
You get to monkey-swinging and things like that and you can blame it on the writer
and you can blame it on Steven Spielberg, who directed. But the actor’s job is to
make it come alive and make it work, and I couldn’t do it. So that’s my fault. Simple.

‘ had major discussions. He wasn’t happy with it either. Look, the
movie could have been updated. There was a reason it wasn’t universally accepted.’
