The Royal Bank of Scotland has launched a new £10 note to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
RBS has put 2 millions of the new £10 commemorative note into circulation prior to the jubilee celebrations. The commemorative note contains images of the Queen at different stages of her life including a palace photo of her in the 1940s and a photo taken in 2008 from Epsom Racecourse appearance.
RBS chairman Phillip Hampton said, “RBS has a long connection with royalty and a tradition of issuing notes to commemorate royal celebrations. We felt that this was the most fitting way to honour the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and her long reign as monarch”.
The new £10 commemorative note is the third design of RBS’ royal series and will be available from Scottish RBS branches or on order.
